A View from the Bottom (2022-04-02) This view shows the erosion area from the bottum up. There is park bench framed by Grandeur Peak.
The Hole Overlook (2022-04-02) This view shows the depth of the hole. It might be 4 feet deep.
A Second View Looking Up the Hole (2022-04-02) I took a second shot looking up the hole. Grandeur Peak is in the distance.
Viewed from the Trail (2022-04-02) This final shot shows the hole viewed from the trail.
Freeway Drainage (2022-04-02) UDOT is repaving I215 in Salt Lake. It appears that they are also replacing the drainage system. This system includes the pipes that drain Neff Creek. When it rains, there is a flood of run off.

A Hole in the Park
Utah Department of Transportation is repaving I215 and reworking the drainage for Neff Creek. During the construction, they are letting the run off flow through a city park.
Mt Olympus Park is built on a sand dune. So the construction led to some wicked erosion in the park.
